"'Your Total Is:' 'Actually, I'm Not Paying You for That...'"

As you may have noticed, October has become "financial wokeness" month. Warning: Financial Rant follows. Point of the rant: stop devising schemes to take people's money when you are already profiting off them allowing you to borrow it AND we are already paying you for a service. Stop being so blatantly obvious!

Here is my question followed by my ask. Why is it so complicated to give money I already have to others? Don't charge me. I am not talking about the giving dilemma discussed in the previous post linked here, but more about the mechanics of transferring money you already have to yourself and others; it's mine. It's time for us to put our money where our mouths and hearts are.

Questions below the jump:

Below are my questions:

Why do I have to pay to send via snail mail or fax a wet signature to transfer funds I have in one old retirement account I own to another? Where are the e-signs? And why does it take so long?

Why are there limits and conditions to money I transfer from one account I own at one financial institution to another? Don't get me started on daily and month-specific transaction limits.

Why can you not accept a personal check for $10,000, but will take four (4) $2,500 ones? Stop wasting paper.

Why do I have to get a cashier's check when I have a personal check and you already have access to my present account's transition history? We already know the money is there.

Bonus: Why does it take two (2)+ weeks for a final loan payment to clear when the lender is ready to send you a "bill overdue" the very next day after the due date (grace period has not even passed).

You want to talk about living in a fallen world- look no further. I have the literal receipts and the paper trail of changing terms and conditions. Folks are ready to take your already taxed, hard-earned money. Then, tax you again. And then have the nerve to tell you did not pay enough the first time. Oh, you want access to my bank account for monthly disbursements? Give me my money. Or better yet- God's money. Will a man rob God? It is time to cut the chord; I no longer need your services. I will find somebody else I trust and can confidently spend my money with.

No need to tell me to have several seats; I am already sitting- waiting to cash-in on God's the glorious economy to come. In the meantime, enjoy our game of Monopoly: Real Life Edition.

Hit me up if you can rationalize, can identify with this craziness, or have other items you will not be paying for. To be continued...
