Crests and troughs rarely beach without fanfare. The normal whens usually do. The former group, although less frequent, are climactic and get the chatter, even when only near misses. The latter, quieter whens appear to be dismissed, indistinguishable and uninteresting, undiscussed and status quo.
If you think about it, we end up disproportionately spending your time more on one-off exclamations over the repeating, consistent day in and day out whens. I'd argue the shrewdest of us will recognize and invert the perceived value of these whens- not just in themselves, but in and through others.
Below the jump are seven (7) underrated and often overlooked whens worth praise personified.
The confidant that knows when to share.
The bystander that knows when to mind his or her business.
The striver that knows when to quit.
The friend that knows when to press.
The mediator that knows when to de-escalate.
The encourager that knows when to celebrate.
The flexible one that knows when to course correct.
