Often, we pause to praise for milestones and accomplishments. But, have you ever stopped to honor those that are doing excellently as they climb and as they go? Why do we wait for the crescendo, the climax when in fact the excellence, the effort has been there all along? I do not have a good answer. Sadly, I am the very one I speak of. I often fail to recognize and appropriately appreciate the women I know that are excellent in their own right. Particularly as Christians, let's not wait for someone else to applaud what we know to be true. Excellence does not persist in a vacuum. Excellence should be recognized- it is just a matter of who and how.
Here are three (3) women doing just that- being excellent in their own spheres of influence.

A high school counselor, she and her sister promote black mental health and well being. Together, they started a joint blog and clothing brand- now selling on Etsy.

Meet Marian
A teacher and University of Virginia Equity Center Community Follow-in-Residence, Marian started Tutor-ish with a team of certified educators to help bridge the gap in virtual learning during the pandemic. Meet Afia
A computer scientist, operations researcher, and statistician, Afia is the Founder, President, and Executive Director of Coders Who Travel, Incorporated and Founder-Executive Director of Women Who Code (WWC) Accra , which is part of the global WWC network. The non-profits she runs focus on building the next generation of computer and mathematical coders. Afia has been featured on BBC, CNBC, HuffPost and the World Manufacturing Forum.
