I used to hate to admit it, but this phrase rings true: "the end depends on the beginning." While the beginning does not always determine the end; it defines from where and frames the perspective from which you approach. When I was younger, my parents used to rely on my tracking skills when we would get lost (this was before the widespread advance of civilian global positioning systems). My breadcrumbing is no longer as good, but I recognize that starting in the right place or from the right frame of mind makes a difference- even when you do not think you are lost.
I have always been curious, but when I was younger I did not realize I often posed and roved in the wrong questions. And I still do. What questions are you asking? Are they moving you in the right direction? Questions are good for helping you geolocate. I like to think I am getting quicker in getting my bearings. It is important it is to begin asking helpful questions, ones that define not only where you are, but define the operating boundaries. And I thrive.
