Gears In Motion: Episode Five (5)

Oh, the idiom, "fake it until you make it..." I think that phrase should be more accurately rendered, "use what you got until you get where you are going." Or, more pointedly, "use what you got." Be excellent with what you are presently given while you prepare and work towards next.


Too many times, we ponder and complain of what we lack when in reality we are already well-equipped and abundant in what is required. Rarely, does someone always have what they think they need. Being resourceful is not just a skill- it is a lifestyle, an act of gratitude and humility. Most of the time, we have what we need, we just fail to see and channel what we have. For me, through the challenge of learning to read, I developed a disciplined rigor of learning.


In Episode Five (5) of Gears in Motion, the tables turn. Regine begins to interview me to hear my journey into engineering, from my early days of playing with Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars

and not being able to read to losing two (2) internship opportunities.
